Investment News Kenya has warned investors, time and again, against buying land in Syokimau and surrounding areas such as Katani. The Kenya government has in deed, as many times warned investors against such purchases following an “outbreak” of conmen and con women selling plots of land that don’t belong to them.

In its report, Doing Business in Kenya 2010, the World Bank ranks Narok the best town to do business in Kenya. In the study which measured business regulations in 11 Kenya towns – Narok, Eldoret, Garissa, Isiolo, Kilifi, Kisumu, Malaba, Mombasa, Nairobi, Nyeri and Thika – Narok emerged the top.
Business Picks Up Again at Total Market Town

Businesses at Total at the junction of Kisumu and Eldoret town is booming again after the small market town was brought down by arsonists during the 2008 clashes that followed the flawed 2007 elections.During a stopover, I counted not less than half of the business premises with scars from the chaos that left many Kenyans dead, others maimed and yet many more homeless. In deed, a few paper houses, typical indicators of the presence of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) still stand in the town.
